Q: How do I sign my child up for the JLC Scunthorpe Wolves?
A: We’re always looking to add new energy to the pack! Email info@scunthorpewolvesbasketball.co.uk with the subject line "New Starter" and make sure you include your child's age and gender in the email and someone will get back to you.
Q: What age groups and skill levels do you cater to?
A: We run developmental sessions for children aged 6 - 14 alongside our competitive U14 and U16 Boys National League teams.
Q: Where do training sessions take place?
A: John Leggott College Sports Hall, West Common Lane, Scunthorpe, DN17 1DS.
Q: When are the training sessions?
A: Primary School Boys - Monday 4:45pm - 5:45pm or Wednesday 4:30pm - 5:30pm.
Girls (Y4 - Y9) - Thursday 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Mixed Community Session (Y3 - Y9) - Saturday 11am - 12:30pm
Q: How much do sessions cost?
A: We operate on a block booking system following the school terms (North Lincolnshire Dates) and prices vary slightly depending on which group and how many sessions there are in the term. If you've missed the start of the term, you can join after the half term break for half the termly fee. Our aim is that each session should cost on average less than £4 per player.
Q: How do I sign up and pay?
A: We will share a link via email to join our booking group on the Spond app once a consent form has been completed. Payment will also be taken through this app.
Q: Can we come and watch the U14 Boys and U16 Boys games?
A: Yes, absolutely. Home games are hosted on Saturday afternoons at either 2pm or 4pm. Check our social channels for upcoming fixtures. Entry is FREE!
Q: Are refreshments available?
A: Our amazing partners "Craved" will be at most home games selling their incredible cookies alongside a collection of soft drinks and teas/coffees. They accept card or cash.
Q: How can local Scunthorpe businesses get involved with the club?
A: We are a non-profit club who rely on local support to keep basketball accessible for all. Please email info@scunthorpewolvesbasketball.co.uk if you can help us.
